Hi! My name is Mochi and I am a researcher/engineer/tinkerer who likes to be hands-on and close to the data :)

Currently, I am a senior data scientist at Aquabyte, where I train, debug, and deploy computer vision and machine learning models to help salmon farmers!

Before Aquabyte, I was a PhD and postdoctoral researcher at Princeton University in the Leifer Group. I also hold a BS in bioengineering with a minor in electrical engineering and computer science from UC Berkeley.

Some things I worked on prior to grad school:

• a software + database contractor (and field hand) for a fish farm
• virology research at Merck and the Scripps Research Institute
• undergraduate researcher at UC Berkeley studying Sudden Oak Death
